"Red sky at night, shepherd delight,
Red sky at morning, shepherd's warning..."
Or so the saying goes.
However, this was our sunset on Monday night...
and this...
... and this was the whole of yesterday...
Reckon some farmers may have been caught out...
Even though our gutters and rain water storage tanks have not been installed on the farm yet, the rain is very welcome :)
A chronicle of our family's transition to an off-grid, more self-sufficient and eco-friendlier lifestyle, sharing, wherever possible, helpful links and ideas, in order to ease anyone else's journey along this path
What a great start to your summer:)
ReplyDeleteCan you send some of that moisture half way around the world. We need a bit here. Make sure it comes in the form of rain and not snow! Beautiful pics. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are worth a thousand words. I'm happy you got some much needed rain. And, yes, God is in the details :)
ReplyDeleteJane - Yup - especially as we live in a winter rainfall area :)
ReplyDeleteJohn - I'll swop you :)
Mrs Mac - I agree - that's why I kept my words to a minimum LOL
Beautiful pictures!
ReplyDeletetffn - Thanks - but couldn't have taken them without help ;)
ReplyDeleteOh wow - that middle photo is stunning! It rained heavily all last night - almost enough to fill the 1500L tank we just installed in our back garden.
ReplyDeletegarden girl - Yeah - was raining o hard here that it woke RMan - and that's no mean feat LOL
ReplyDeleteOvernight we got as much rain, as in the whole month of September!
ReplyDeleteFantastic sunset. I never did understand the red sky stuff, but rain is almost always welcome. :)
ReplyDeleteDiana - That's terrific. Hope you have rain water storage?
ReplyDeleteLeigh - Nope, me neither LOL think it had something to do with snow type weather...
