"Self-sufficiency does not mean 'going back' to the acceptance of a lower standard of living. On the contrary, it is the striving for a higher standard of living, for food that is organically grown and good, for the good life in pleasant surroundings... and for the satisfaction that comes from doing difficult and intricate jobs well and successfully." John Seymour ~ Self Sufficiency 2003

  3. You learn something new every day! The only thing I do with eggs is fry them up in butter. My doctor says I am not supposed to eat them, so I tell her I don't, but I do.

But - using eggs in baking - that's another thing altogether... LOL

  4. Nice one :) I usually just run the egg through my fingers to separate it, but this is a nice way not to get my hands all yucky from egg white :)

    1. Leanan - I reckon, providing the bottle is properly cleaned and sterilized, one could also probably store the egg yolks in it for a couple of days until one wanted to use them ;)
