"Self-sufficiency does not mean 'going back' to the acceptance of a lower standard of living. On the contrary, it is the striving for a higher standard of living, for food that is organically grown and good, for the good life in pleasant surroundings... and for the satisfaction that comes from doing difficult and intricate jobs well and successfully." John Seymour ~ Self Sufficiency 2003

  1. That was one of Louis Armstrong's signature songs. I have always liked it. Even have it on vinyl, although I don't have a record player to play it on anymore.

    1. Harry - Did you watch the video?

Thankfully, we kept out LP's (vinyl records) and our turntable - which still works. Only problem is finding a stylus for the turntable...

  2. One of the greatest songs ever. Here in the US, they play it in NYC Times Square as one of the songs for the New Year celebration along with John Lennon's Imagine. I always look forward to it.
