"Self-sufficiency does not mean 'going back' to the acceptance of a lower standard of living. On the contrary, it is the striving for a higher standard of living, for food that is organically grown and good, for the good life in pleasant surroundings... and for the satisfaction that comes from doing difficult and intricate jobs well and successfully." John Seymour ~ Self Sufficiency 2003

Welcome

This is a welcome with a difference ;)

This welcome is not extended to a new follower this time, but to a new addition to the family.
Sister meets Brother :)  Looks like they
have a firm bond already.
HJG was born yesterday afternoon weighing 3.81kgs.

Her brother, Mike, is thrilled to finally have his long awaited sibling.

Mother and baby are both well - and loving the whole process of finally getting to know each other.

Great excitement abounds - everywhere.  What better Christmas present could one wish for - the safe arrival of a little one... :)

  3. Congratulations. Another member of the clan is always welcome. A new child is the biggest event in our extended family, followed by weddings. Both bring new strength to the group.

  5. What great news. One day later and she would have shared a birthday with my niece, whose boyfriend proposed to her on her birthday (yesterday now), down on one knee in the snow (how he managed to arrange snow in Ireland, I'll never know). I'm feeling all very circle of life today. Congratulations to you all!

  12. Oh yes, I see! Missed this post while I was supporting my Rosie through her labour. It took us away from the world for three days. So excited for you! So excited for me! Enjoy friend.

Thank you for taking the time to comment - it makes my day and removes the "loneliness' of sitting at my screen blogging supposedly to myself ;) I try and reply as quickly as possible so please forgive me if sometimes my response is delayed.
