Wasted

I was gifted a packet of biscuits by a visitor who came to an impromptu dinner gathering the other night.

On opening the packet I discovered that it had not one, not two, but three layers of packaging.

Three layers of packaging:
1 outer flimsy layer
 2 middle firm(er) layer
 3 inner flimsy layer
And we wonder why this planet is being overrun by refuse / plastic...!  What a waste - of resources, power to manufacture, water to manufacture, etc...

  1. I agree. I see all this packaging discarded on our walks. I open packaging at home preparing food and only some can be recycled. I seem to get crosser with this as I get older

    1. Shirley - It drives me mad! Guess, as you say, one becomes less forgiving / allowing as one gets older. I certainly do, especially when it comes to unnecessary wastage...

  2. I have to say that this kind of thing is a major pet peeve for me. Then all too often the packaging seems better quality than the product! However, there is no waste from anything we produce for ourselves. That's a comfort!

    1. Leigh - Couldn't agree with you more - either about the packaging quality, nor the lack of waste from home made treats ;)

Thank you for taking the time to comment - it makes my day and removes the "loneliness' of sitting at my screen blogging supposedly to myself ;) I try and reply as quickly as possible so please forgive me if sometimes my response is delayed.
