I reckon that it's such an important issue that it should be written into the constitutions of countries. :)Danihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04020970904311512357noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3375887793985280500.post-76337788853807178872012-04-30T03:54:07.612+02:002012-04-30T03:54:07.612+02:00Our neighborhood in the city is on an awesome pilo...Our neighborhood in the city is on an awesome pilot program. We have ONE large green recycling bin and we can dump all recyclables in it...glass, metal, paper, it all goes into one container and we don't have to sort and separate (though we've always done it anyway). It's pretty neat. They have machines at the recycling center that sort it all out. Pretty neat and the best part is1st Manhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04861609647607912193noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3375887793985280500.post-48300193318177390942012-04-28T14:48:00.695+02:002012-04-28T14:48:00.695+02:00Linda - Yes, same at our waste site in Hout Bay :)...Linda - Yes, same at our waste site in Hout Bay :) Good deal on the plastic pots!Danihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04020970904311512357noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3375887793985280500.post-77956377222191737102012-04-28T13:48:00.416+02:002012-04-28T13:48:00.416+02:00Dani, we also have that project on this side of th...Dani, we also have that project on this side of the Peninsula. We just bung it all into a bag which is renewed at collection time, once a week, from outside our gate. We can also dump anything at the Kommetjie waste site. Unemployed people are employed there to post items like paper, tins, into relevant giant container which gets sent to/collected by the relevant re-manufacturer when it is full. I wonder if those that don't will be honest enough to leave a comment?

We've had recycling available here for the past 10 years - drop off at a local collection point, which created jobs (and income) for a number of underprivileged people. Then our suburb was chosen as a pilot project, and a local company collects once a week Danihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04020970904311512357noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3375887793985280500.post-2899509103554382652012-04-28T08:53:40.654+02:002012-04-28T08:53:40.654+02:00Thanks Sue.
