"Self-sufficiency does not mean 'going back' to the acceptance of a lower standard of living. On the contrary, it is the striving for a higher standard of living, for food that is organically grown and good, for the good life in pleasant surroundings... and for the satisfaction that comes from doing difficult and intricate jobs well and successfully." Thanks...

...

For all your prayers / dances.

We had 22mm on Wednesday, and 9 mm the next day - 31mm in total.

Whoo Hoo!!
Sunset on Tuesday night - a prelude to the
 rain ahead.
That resulted in our water tanks filling half way - we can breathe easier again :).

Glad all the prancing around had some effect :} Seriously, half full tanks are great, hope it's not too long before they are completely full.

It's good that you got some of the rain you needed. I hope it keeps coming and you get all topped off out there.

Sue - apologies for the delay in replying - we're being hit by load shedding (power blackouts) thanks to our power producer not maintaining their infrastructure / making sufficient forward thinking plans :(

I loved the pic too :)

Harry - Having the security of full tanks would be a great relief. But, mustn't grumble - at least we had some rain...

Bill - That water is long gone LOL The parched earth just swallowed it up without even noticing.
